In celebration of Earth Day, the Humanities and Arts Department is pleased to organize a marathon reading of Henry David Thoreau's classic, Walden; Or, Life in the Woods, a literary record of Thoreau's two-year sojourn at Walden Pond.

New location: the reading will take place in Salisbury Labs Lounge (1st Floor) starting at 8 am and finishing at approximately 8 pm. Please join us: come to read or just to listen.

The HUA Department will distribute free copies of Walden to the first 100 people.  If you'd like to sign up for a 20-minute reading shift and pick up an advance copy, come to SL 124 or email huoffice@wpi.edu

We will provide snacks throughout the day.  Help us celebrate Earth Day with Henry David Thoreau, one of the world's great nature writers.
