Publishing High-Impact Research: An Editor’s Perspective

Dr. Brandon Sutherland
Scientific Editor, Joule
Cell Press

10:00-10:50 am, Wednesday, Apr. 17
Higgins Labs 218

In this informal seminar I will offer insight into the publishing process of a highly selective energy journal from the perspective of a researcher-turned-editor. The life of a scientific editor, the manuscript life cycle, and the peer review process will be described. I will detail editor considerations when evaluating manuscripts and offer advice to authors from an editor’s point of view, leaving plenty of time for Q&A.
