Nowhere on earth is our disregard for life as stark as in our food system. If we pull back the curtain on animal agriculture, we discover a morally bankrupt industry that treats sentient and emotional animals as mere commodities. Framed by personal experiences with animals who escaped their fates, we will look at the impact of our food choices, and discuss why a growing number of people are leaving animals off their plates.

Jenny Brown is a longtime animal rights activist and Founder of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in New York—one the country’s most recognized and respected sanctuaries for farmed animals. She previously worked in film and television, until she went undercover in Texas to document farmed animal abuse. She is the author of The Lucky Ones: My Passionate Fight For Farm Animals.
