Jesi Clinton holds a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from WPI and an M.S. in Materials Science from Case Western Reserve University. After graduation she joined GE Oil & Gas (now BHGE) in Twinsburg, OH as the plant welding engineer and oversaw the welding of sensors that go on gas turbines, in nuclear reactors, and down oil wells. Her knowledge in welding engineering is mostly self-taught, and she has earned her certified welding engineer and inspector licenses during her time in industry. Recently she moved back to New England and made the transition into aerospace and defense at Raytheon. In her current role as welding subject matter expert, she consults on design and process issues related to radar and missile systems. She is also an active member of ASM and supports STEM outreach whenever possible.
