Tuesday, November 12, 2019
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Floor/Room #:
Shuster Lab for Digital Scholarship, 1st floor

This workshop introduces humanities and social science researchers to the method of network analysis, or the investigation of the connections between entities, such as characters in a text or users on social media platforms. It covers basic terminology and concepts relating to network analysis and provides a hands-on tutorial using the open source tool Gephi to create and interpret a network visualization based on a historical dataset of letters exchanged by figures in the Boston-area anti-slavery movement. Please register in advance.

If you plan to use your own laptop, please download the free, open source tool Gephi prior to the workshop.
