1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

CARD is solving fluid transport issues in a wide variety of products, especially semi-moist and porous materials from the Food and Agriculture, Forestry Product, Biopharmaceutical, Chemical, and Textile industries.  CARD is a two-university led research program supported by the National Science Foundation and its industry members.  Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are world class universities with programs representing all aspects of drying research.  Their projects focus on novel drying technology development and application, novel sensor design and manufacture, and use of unique tools to understand the underlying structural building blocks of products.
