We are hosting a free, one-day PD for current PLTW teachers on Friday March 9th at WPI. This day is specifically designed to support teachers who are trained to teach any of the following courses:
- Automation & Robotics
- Design & Modeling
- Computer Science for Innovators & Makers
- Introduction to Engineering Design
- Principles of Engineering
- Computer Science Principles
- Digital Electronics
While the sessions are open to all PLTW teachers, they will be the most helpful for those who attended core training and currently teach these specific courses. The sessions offered will provide relevant updates, go into depth on some of the skills for the course, give opportunities to learn tips and techniques, and share ideas with other teachers that will help PLTW teachers bring high quality learning experience to their students.
Please plan to arrive at 7:30 for the registration. We will have morning coffee and tea available, and lunch is provided for all attendees. Thanks to a generous donor, a $100 contribution towards the cost of a substitute teacher will be provided for every Massachusetts PLTW teacher who attends and their school submits the appropriate paperwork.
Advanced registration is required to attend and must be completed by February 28th. Early registration is suggested, as seats are limited to 20 per session. Click here to register. A parking pass will be sent out a couple days before the event.
Descriptions of the specific sessions are at the following links.
