For background and to further appreciate the Circular Economy panel we ask that you consider viewing this short video on “Industrial Symbiosis”. The video provides an overview of a regional effort funded by the EU to evaluate industrial symbiosis across a number of industries in Turkey.  They have partnered with Technical Universities to do some of the basic, applied, and social sciences for the linkage of the materials flows. Examples are given.  It may provide some insight and generate further discussion on how WPI can affect an transdisciplinary effort in the U.S. and globally on the topic of the Circular Economy.
