Gateway Park 60 Prescott St.| Rm. 1002

Abstract: The purpose of BowlerStudio is to provide developers a fully integrated development environment for the full stack of robotics design. The goal is to make the process of designing and building working robots easier. The foundation of BowlerStudio is a collection of real-time hardware abstractions, above that is robot a configuration layer, and on top, a CAD and algorithm generation system. Users write scripts in Groovy, Clojure, Python, Java or Kotlin and host them in Git repos. The BowlerStudio design and simulation IDE is free, open source and availible now.

Bio: Kevin Harrington is one of the Founders of Technocopia and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He teaches Robotics Engineering at WPI and designs all the lab robots for all of the robotics classes.  Kevin was an entrepreneur for the last 15 years building Neuron Robotics and Technocopia. His current venture SmallKat won Best Communication award at the 2019 Hackaday Supercon. In the evenings and on weekends he can be found at Technocopia building robotic and animatronics puppets and toys. Look for updates to his projects on his YouTube channel here:
