The Safe Zone “Safe Space” Program seeks to foster a welcoming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons by establishing an identifiable network of supportive community members who can provide support, information, and a safe place for LGBTQ+ persons within our campus community. Those who have committed to providing Safe Zone Safe Spaces indicate that bigotry and discrimination, specifically regarding LGBTQ+ persons, will not be tolerated at WPI.
Upon completion of the session, you will receive a “Safe Space” symbol, which you can use to indicate your area as a place LGBTQ+ persons can go if they need support, help, advice, or just someone with whom they can talk.
If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to contact the Safe Zone Committee at email@example.com.
