My research is aimed at designing biomaterials for applications in cancer treatment, disease modeling, and tissue regeneration. My research group utilizes tools that encompass biology, chemistry, and engineering principles to design these biomaterials to fit the desired functions.
In this talk, I will focus on the work we are doing to address cancer treatment, specifically targeting neuroblastoma, through two stories. The first story will be on developing drug delivery systems for the treatment of neuroblastoma. The second story will be on our efforts towards developing in vitro systems to study neuroblastoma in a dish. Throughout this talk I will introduce multiple biomaterials, modifications, and form factors we employ to broadly address challenges in the cancer field.
