Our show consists of several groups who have created musical works based on scientific concepts as part of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Music and Science Practicum with Dr. David Ibbett.
Each spectacular project you will hear was asked to find a connection between music and science, using music to convey scientific discoveries such as the creation of the universe or using scientific programs to create music based on an audience's emotions. The music you will hear and see are awe inspiring and is meant to convey meaningful information, such as how the human genome structure sounds or how the shape of the universe could be interpreted. There are even pieces which use data collected about snow fall or the water cycle which bring a new experience to common day events.
We hope you will join us for this fantastic concert taking place on Zoom Webinar - streamed live from Alden Hall on Thursday, May 13th at 5pm!
