STEM Saturdays - November 4, 2017 Session

Saturday, November 04, 2017
9:00 am to 12:00 pm

At WPI’s STEM Saturday Programs, participants will collaborate on projects that challenge them to think outside the box and further ignite passions to make a difference in the world through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Guided by WPI undergraduates and staff, with the same passion for discovery, students will work together, in a hands-on, team-based environment. As they explore topics in STEM, parents/guardians, family members, or mentors, will attend sessions to learn how to best support and encourage their students to excel in these areas.

STEM Saturdays consists of six, half-day workshops focused on the STEM fields for middle school-aged boys and girls and their parents/guardians. This opportunity allows middle school students to see what is possible and to better identify what their true interests and passions might be, connected to math and science. The future is bright with so many opportunities, and we hope to introduce a whole new world of exploration! WPI is one of the nation’s premier science- and engineering-focused universities. STEM Saturdays is one of the many ways we reach out to middle school students who have the potential to lead the world tomorrow.
