Technology and Policy Program (TPP) is a research based two year master's program that is housed within the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at MIT. In addition to coursework in subjects such as policy making, leadership, law and economics; TPP students conduct research in labs, research centers and working groups. For this work, known as a Research Assistantship or RA, students will have their tuition paid by their lab, in addition they receive a monthly stipend and a student's health insurance is paid for the year as well. The research conducted in these labs or research groups, forms the basis of the thesis that is required for completion of the degree. TPP admits students for the fall only, and applications are due by December 15th. The GRE is a required test for the application.
