Facilitated by Vinny Sabo and Tyler Stone
When you decided to go to college, how did you decide on WPI? The major factors in your decision may have been the professors, curriculum, sports, location, size, or admission, for example. How did you weigh those factors against other schools? When was the moment that you said "WPI is right for me?" Many of us cannot recall. This decision, like many others in life, can have a permanent impact on your career, friend groups, and interests. However, research shows that critical life decisions are often made without any quantitative comparison or evaluation: these decisions arise after long internal deliberation and often with external influences. In this class, Vinny and Tyler will explore the concept of structured decision-making, discussing several frameworks for evaluating major life choices to eliminate bias from decisions and place greater conscious control in you, the decision-maker.
