Carlos Pereira is CEO of Livox, a company focused on creating innovative solutions for people with disabilities—the group with the highest risk of social exclusion, especially nonverbal people with disabilities. Pereira created Livox, a software evolution of alternative communication. Livox software adjusts itself according to the user's disabilities and enables the user to do more than just speak through a tablet. It uses Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing to enable people with disabilities to communicate up to 20 times faster. Pereira has received several awards, including the Best Inclusion App in the World by the United Nations; he recently was nominated for the Schwab Foundation's Social Entrepreneur of 2017 award by the World Economic Forum.
