At the Washington DC Project Center, WPI students pursing their IQP are granted the opportunity to examine the inner workings of government and the importance of national action in the areas of the environment, science education, urban issues, and consumer protection.
The Washington DC Project Center is WPI's first and oldest operating center, and students visit it annually. Many projects have been completed with agencies such as the U.S. Coast Guard, the Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the National Science Foundation, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
We invite you to join alumni, parents, project sponsors and this year's Washington DC Project Center students - who are taking on intensive projects sponsored by some of the nation's leaders - as WPI celebrates the students' accomplishments. Guests will also have a chance to hear from Congressman James McGovern (D-MA).
