Worcester's Storm and Waste Water: Where does it go?

Tuesday, March 28, 2017
5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Floor/Room #:
116

Please join Ian Weyburne from the City of Worcester Sewer Department to learn how the city collects and handles wastewater and stormwater generated across the city. To increase sustainability, the City has installed a number of different stormwater treatment devices such as hydrodynamic separators, rain gardens, and other infiltration devices to improve stormwater quality and reduce volume. In addition, the city has implemented a system to identify and fix issues with the sanitary sewer system, which in turn improves stormwater quality. If you are an EVE major, a resident of Worcester, or interested in how storm and wastewater are handled, stop by!
