Do you want to recognize a student employee for their great contributions but you’re just not sure where to start? Providing compelling evidence that a person should be recognized can be difficult and time consuming. Please join us to hear more about writing techniques to capture a reader’s focus and provide the right amount of evidence to persuade them to select your nomination as the student employee of the 2018-19 year!

No registration is necessary. Please bring your lunch and beverage or plan ahead and stop by the Library Café to grab lunch before you head upstairs!

About the Student Employee of the Year Award

WPI’s Student Employee of the Year nominations will be accepted from January 15, 2019 to February 15, 2019. The Student Employee of the Year program is a nation-wide selection process offered by the Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators. Supervisors at colleges across the region nominate student employees who they feel are especially worthy of recognition based on their performance on the job. The student you nominate will be considered for the WPI Student Employee of the Year Award and has the opportunity to move on for district, regional, and national consideration. The  Award is granted to passionate, motivated students whose contributions are highly valued by their department of employment. Nominees must be WPI student employees who have worked a minimum of six months part time (or three months full time) during the selection period of June through March. The link to the nomination form is located below.
