Every Brilliant Thing is a one-person show, written by British playwright Duncan Macmillan and comedian Jonny Donahoe, that tells the story of a girl who consoles herself – her mother has just attempted suicide and her father is distant – by creating a list of everything that makes her happy, everything that makes life worth living. Over the course of the play, the list takes on a life of its own. (The show runs 60 minutes.)
