A two-day event focused on emerging technologies in the biomanufacturing industry. This year we focus on continuous biomanufacturing, both upstream and downstream, and the best practices and challenges of manufacturing cell and tissue therapies.

On Thursday, March 30th, WPI’s BETC will be hosting the rebroadcast of an educational event sponsored and organized by the Boston Area Chapter of ISPE (the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering).

his eight-week evening program is taught by WPI instructors and biomanufacturing industry professionals. It includes a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on learning in small teams working on state-of-the-art biomanufacturing equipment.

This two day training program provides an overview of the biomanufacturing process and introduces participants to the single-use systems and applications currently being utilized throughout the industry.

The robust implementation of animal cell culture technology requires optimization of a number of variables. Successful operations need to achieve high productivities with low operating costs and meet the requisite productivity and quality specifications.

The BETC offers a one-day training course that allows biomanufacturing employees to learn about and practice troubleshooting and root cause analysis in real time, within a full pilot-scale manufacturing setting.

This 3 day course containing workshops, case studies and Q&A sessions is intended for scientists and engineers who are new to Quality-by-Design and/or need an update in their knowledge of the subject.

WPI’s intensive, four-day Fundamentals of Bioprocessing for Engineers training provides this critical overview of the process, the function of each piece of equipment, and how that equipment is used within the process.
