ECE MS Thesis Presentation By: Srivatsan Mukunthraj
\n\nImage\n \n\n\n\nTitle:\nA High-Throughput Data and Control Plane for S
 calable Software-Defined Radio Experimentation\nAbstract:\nModern wireless
experimentation has driven major advances in communication systems. Rapid
progress in Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), high-performance computing, a
nd high-speed networking creates an opportunity to build unified, high-cap
acity experimentation environments that are reproducible and scalable. Thi
s thesis presents the design and evaluation of an integrated wireless test
bed leveraging a unique data and control back-plane that unifies SDR platf
orms, compute resources, and a centralized management framework. A multi-t
ier architecture separates control and data traffic, enabling efficient ha
ndling of high-throughput SDR streams over a high-speed backbone. Experime
ntal results demonstrate reliable, concurrent streaming from up to eight U
SRP X310 devices with no packet loss under tested conditions, confirming t
he system’s ability to sustain demanding workloads while preserving data
integrity. Analysis further highlights key network configurations that en
hance performance and stability.\n\nResearch Advisor:\nProf. Alex Wyglinsk
