Maximize your potential at WPI!
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) was officially founded at WPI in 2011 to support the growing needs of an increasingly diverse campus. While disability and accommodation services always existed as an aspect of a supportive WPI education, the increasing number of students disclosing a disability inspired the launch of a concerted effort and make WPI a more accessible campus. ODS currently works directly with over 300 students throughout the year to support accommodation services covering all aspects of academic and campus life. ODS staff also collaborates with faculty, students and staff to encourage an open and accessible campus community through programming focusing on physical access, universal course design, community awareness, and student peer-support and personal growth.
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) at WPI works to give every student an equal opportunity to succeed by providing reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities. The ODS promotes a social model of accessibility by applying the principles of Universal Design campus-wide. Our office strives to foster an environment that supports and encourages self-advocacy, independence, and personal growth to maximize each student’s potential.
