Compliance & Risk Management
Within the Division of Finance & Operations, the Office of Compliance & Risk Management serves as a resource to all campus departments for support in their compliance and risk efforts, which protect and preserve WPI’s financial solvency, as well as its human and physical resources.
Compliance involves the ongoing process of conforming to external and internal policies and regulations. The management of this process involves close associations with Human Resources, Environmental & Occupational Safety, the Office of Sponsored Programs (research administration), and others.
Risk Management oversees the purchasing and maintenance of broker relations for the university’s entire insurance program. In addition to obtaining required coverages, the office manages the settlement of liability and property claims with insurance companies and defense counsel.
