WPI has a strong Tableau implementation, a thoughtful User Group, and a robust Tableau Enterprise Server used as a secure location to share data and analysis across the university. Institutional Research manages the Tableau licenses for the WPI administration and maintains the internal Tableau Server.

WPI has it's own Tableau User Group (WTUG) that meets monthly. WPI community members share their Tableau challenges and success stories in an informal setting among peers and with real institutional data. We even hold an annual WPI Iron Viz competition! All data enthusiasts are encouraged to join.

The Massachusetts Higher Education Tableau User Group (MUG) is network of post-secondary professionals who are using or are interested in learning about Tableau. Meetings are held every 2-3 months at different college campuses. It's a great way to connect with others, share best practices, and learn new things.

Iron Viz

Data enthusiasts showed off their Tableau skills in the Iron Viz competition! Tableau announces a theme and people around the world submit their best data visualization. Three contestants competed during the final round at the 2018 Tableau Conference in New Orleans.
