Shelley A.S. Alexander, Ed.D.

Dr. Alexander is a former teacher and school principal. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Special Education from Mount Saint Mary College and her Master of Science degree in Reading is from C.W. Post, Long Island University. A Certificate of Advanced Study from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz and a Doctor of Education degree from Teachers College, Columbia University are both in the area of Educational Administration. Dr. Alexander is the mother of seven children ranging in age from thirteen to twenty-five years. She is proud to have her four oldest children attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute! She is passionate about children of all ages and dedicated to providing the very best education and care for the children at the early childhood school she has owned for the past twelve years.

Mary Beth Cotter, J.D.

Mary Beth is Privacy Officer and contracts and compliance counsel at PI Worldwide an international management consulting firm in Wellesley, MA. Mary Beth is responsible for all contracts, intellectual property, and compliance with international and national privacy and security regulations. Prior to PI Worldwide, Mary Beth has been legal counsel at several technology and energy companies in the greater Boston area for over 30 years. She is a graduate of New England Law/Boston, Villanova University where she received her masters degree and Regis College where she received her bachelors degree.

She lives in in South Natick with her husband Jack, and has three children: Elizabeth, John Matthew, and Cece who is a junior majoring in biology and biotechnology and absolutely loves WPI! Mary Beth also serves on the Board of Trustees of Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Corporation. In her spare time, she volunteers as an English language tutor and supports NPH an international organization providing care for orphaned children throughout the Caribbean and is traveling to an orphanage in Honduras to volunteer later this year.

Nancy Ryan Gray

Nancy is the current Director and President of the Gordon Research Conferences (GRC), a position she had held since 2003. Gordon Research Conferences are a group of prestigious international scientific conferences that cover frontier research on topics in the biological, chemical, and physical sciences, and their related technologies. Nancy received her B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame in 1981 and her Ph.D. in Fuel Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University in 1985. She was a Scientific Fellow at the Institute for Atomic and Molecular Physics in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, during 1984. 

Prior to joining GRC, Nancy served as the Director of Membership at the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society. She also worked ten years as an industrial research chemist at Exxon Production Research Company (now Exxon Mobile Upstream Research) in Houston, Texas. Nancy is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of the American Chemical Society. Her twin sons received their bachelor degrees from WPI in 2016 and will start work on their Masters in the fall.

Mary Hebert  

Mary is a pharmacist living in NH with her husband of 27 years. She has two children, Matthew who is working at LogMeIn in Boston and Alison who is at WPI class of 2018 studying ChemEng. After graduating from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, MA in 1987, Mary worked as a hospital staff pharmacist at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH for more than 10 years. She also helped her husband, Roger, run the family owned retail pharmacy, Rice’s Pharmacy, in Nashua, NH until its closing in 2010. She then worked as a part-time pharmacist at Foundation Oncology Hematology in Nashua, NH. When her two children, Matthew and Alison, began school she became very involved in volunteering in the grammar, middle and high schools her children attended. Once Alison started high school, Mary became a member of the parent group, Friends of NDA, and eventually was elected co-president for her last two years. Involved in all aspects of helping to improve the all girls’ high school from raising money to purchase athletic equipment by selling Christmas wreaths, to helping with the all school auction to improve technology at NDA, Tyngsboro, MA, Mary is always ready to help when needed. She now volunteers at a pharmacy program to help those in need of medication.

Roger Hebert

Roger is a Clinical Pharmacist Consultant and EHR Analyst. He works at E-Volve Health, a consulting company in Bedford, NH, specializing in Epic Electronic Health Record implementation for health care organizations. Roger has a long career in pharmacy, having been a community pharmacy owner, compounding pharmacist, Pharmacy Vaccination Coordinator, and long term care consultant pharmacist. He is currently the Consultant Pharmacist for the Nashua Public Health Department, and is working on a master’s degree in Health Informatics at the University of Chicago/Illinois.

Roger has been a mentor for FIRST Robotics for nine years, most recently starting a new FTC team at his daughter's high school, the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA. ​Roger is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, MA. He lives in Merrimack, NH, with his wife, Mary. He has two children - Matthew, who works for LogMeIn in Boston, and Alison, who is enrolled (and loving life) at WPI as a ChemEng (Class of 2018).

George Moniz

George has been practicing podiatry for over twenty years and is the owner of Centerville Podiatry in Warwick, RI. George is a Board Certified Residency Trained Foot Surgeon. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed his surgical education in Podiatry at Roger Willams Hospital. George is involved in the training and education of Podiatric Residents as an active member of the Podiatric Medical Education Committee at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was also the former Director of Podiatric Externships and the former Chief of Podiatry at Kent County Hospital. He specializes in all aspects of foot pathology with special interest in Sports Medicine and Surgery. George lives with his wife, Kelly, sons Josh (WPI ’18), Zach and Jake and daughter Mackenzie in North Kingstown, RI.

Kelly Moniz

Kelly earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College in 1991 and a Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College in 1987. After working for years as a Child and Family Therapist, Kelly became a stay at home mom to her four active children, Josh (WPI ’18), Zach, Jake and Mackenzie. Kelly spends much of her time volunteering in her childrens' schools and is co-chair of The Athletic Booster Club at The Prout School in Wakefield, RI. She teaches CCD at Christ the King Church and helps to run her husband George’s office. In her spare time, she is usually driving between soccer fields, basketball courts, lacrosse fields and baseball fields!

Kimberly Kossmann

Kim is the owner of Simply Silk, an importer of silk scarves and shawls from Vietnam. She operates an e-commerce site, simplysilkscarves.com. Kim received her B.S. degree in psychology from Skidmore College in 1983 and her MBA in Marketing and International Business from New York University in 1988. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education from Simmons College. Kim has almost thirty years of experience in direct marketing, sales and recruiting. She is the mother of three sons, Peter, William and David. Peter is a junior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Computer Science. William has attended both Frontiers and Launch at WPI. Kim lives in Concord, MA and enjoys educational travel, skiing, swimming and reading.

Nuala Ronan

Married for over 20 years, Nuala Ronan is the mom of three boys—Jack, Sean and Aidan. Jack is the eldest and a member of the WPI Class of 2016 studying robotics engineering (one down, two to go!). When she’s not refereeing family matters, Nuala splits her time between managing two companies: Databean, LLC and TrialPoint, Inc. Databean is a contract research organization dedicated to the design and management of clinical trial for novel technology companies. TrialPoint is a spin-off of Databean and develops clinical trial management software and mobile health apps. Nuala holds a bachelor’s in nursing from Birmingham University, England, and a post-bac pre-med degree from Columbia University, NY. She lives in Brewster, NY; and the rare time she’s not working she loves to read and travel.
