Wesleyan University, CT and Marlboro College, VT Bachelor's of Science in Physics and Environmental Studies 2020
I am a second year Master's student in Applied Physics with a concentration in Biophysics. I am currently conducting research on calcium signaling in plants in response to electro-magnetic field exposure in Luis Vidali's lab. The goal of our research is to gain a better understanding of the biological reaction of living organisms to non-ionizing radiation. We are attempting to uncover the exact point of interaction at the cellular and molecular level by studying the response of calcium ion channels to electro-magnetic gradient through fluorescent imaging of calcium in Physcomitrella Patens.
In addition to conducting research on calcium signaling in plants, I have actively mentored high school students as part of the MLSC program.
