CPT Mark Liarikos entered the Bay State Battalion in May 2018. CPT Liarikos started his military career enlisting in the National Guard Infantry and commissioned there through Officer Candidate School. After completing his Basic Officer Infantry Course, he served as the Section Leader for the Mortar Section and the Sniper Section for the 182d Infantry. He later served as a Rifle Platoon Leader before going on Active Duty the US Southern Command. There, CPT Liarikos coordinated military to military and civilian exchanges while working at the Office of Defense Cooperation, US Embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay. CPT Liarikos attended the Civil Affairs Qualification Course at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and graduated on the Commandant’s list. After graduating, CPT Liarikos deployed to the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a Civil Affairs Tactical Team Leader and also was the Mission Commander for military to military training with partner nation militaries. CPT Liarikos most recently was the S3/Plans Officer for the 415th Civil Affairs Battalion.
