Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), M.Sc., Applied Mechanics, 2017

I received my bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and my previous research was in the field of fracture mechanics. At WPI, I am pursuing my PhD in mathematical sciences, and my research is mainly concerned with employing tools from mathematical analysis to establish results concerning existence of solutions to the mathematical models developed for the study of evolution of damage and fracture in solid media. In particular, calculus of variations, PDEs and geometric measure theory are the areas that provide the required tools and framework for my research.
