Staff Sergeant Walsh is a native of Hibbing, Minnesota. He entered the USAF  after graduating from Basic Military Training in 2012 at Lackland AFB, TX. 

From Nov 2012 – Mar 2013, SSgt Walsh was assigned to the 86th Communications Squadron, Knowledge Operations Management, followed by Commander Support Staff, Ramstein AB, DE from Mar 2013 – Feb 2014 where he was responsible for various administrative duties for over 500 unit members. In Mar 2014, SSgt Walsh was assigned to the 86th Maintenance Group, Commander Support Staff in support of 389 personnel to include 92 group staff members.

From Nov 2014 – Feb 2018, SSgt Walsh was assigned to the 57th Weapons Squadron where he was responsible for various administrative duties for 25 cadre and 6 weapons undergraduates. In Feb 2018, SSgt Walsh was assigned to the 87th Air Base Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst where he served as Command Staff Administrator.

Currently, SSgt Walsh is the NCOIC, Administration Management, for the 340 Detachment Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps. In this capacity, Sergeant Walsh manages personnel records, leave web, duty status, and MILPDS actions for five Active duty cadre. He updates cadet pay, initiates security clearances, manages the unit leave program, duty status program, and schedules the Test of Basic Aviation Skills (TBAS) and Air Force Officer Qualifying Tests (AFOQT). This organization includes 5 cadre members and over 60 cadets.
