Lesley (she/her/hers) is a licensed mental health counselor based in a northeastern college counseling center. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in psychology and obtained her master's in mental health counseling and behavioral medicine from Boston University's School of Medicine. She holds a broad range of clinical interests, which include but are not limited to trauma, social anxiety, suicidality, group therapy, and identity exploration. Lesley’s approach to counseling combines strengths-based, wellness, and person-centered perspectives. She works collaboratively with the client and will tailor her approach to suit the client's preferences and needs (drawing from Acceptance Commitment Therapy, mindful self-compassion, wellness,, and art/music). In addition to her clinical work she is an adjunct lecturer at Boston University and serves as a board member for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in July 2019. Lesley hopes to support and empower all human people in their emotional experiences throughout their time at WPI.
