Lesley is a licensed mental health counselor and former SDCC clinical intern who joined the team full-time in 2018. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in psychology and obtained her master's in mental health counseling and behavioral medicine from Boston University's School of Medicine. She holds a broad range of clinical interests, which include but are not limited to trauma, anxiety, suicidality, group therapy, and identity exploration. Lesley’s approach to counseling is strengths-based and person-centered. She incorporates several approaches into her treatment (e.g., Acceptance Commitment Therapy, self-compassion, meditation, and art/music) and will tailor her approach to the client's preferences and needs. She serves as a board member for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in July 2019. Lesley hopes to support and empower a diverse range of students in their emotional experiences throughout their time at WPI.
