Location and Culture:

Located in Montana on the United States border with Canadian provinces Alberta and British Columbia, Glacier National Park consists of over one million acres of land, as well as parts of two mountain ranges, more than 130 lakes, thousands of plant species, and hundreds of animal species. Its ecosystem has been referred to as the “Crown of the Continent.” With headwaters for streams to the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Hudson’s Bay, what happens in the park affects waters in much of North America.
