WPI offers faculty development programs and research funding workshops to help you successfully navigate the process of applying for awards and grants. Take your research career to the next level by exploring the tools available to you below.

Workshop Trainings Provided:

Grantwriting for Impact (G4I) - This workshop walks individuals through the process of finding funding and how to obtain it. Along with introducing the many resources that are available to help.

NIH High-Risk, High-Reward Research Program Workshop - The NIH Common Fund’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program issues annual funding opportunities for exceptionally creative scientists with highly innovative research ideas. Learn about the NIH Director’s Pioneer, New Innovator, Transformative Research, and Early Independence Awards, supporting high-impact research from scientists at all career stages.

Funding for Early Career Investigators -- Sources, Strategies, Successes Workshop - This workshop provides an overview of prestigious competitions that typically provide 3-5 years of support to pursue cutting-edge research, offered by both US government and non-government sponsors. Individuals will get the opportunity to hear faculty colleagues talk about their experiences with early career funding opportunities.

NSF Grants Workshop - This workshop focuses on seeking research funds from the NSF.

CAREER Workshop - This workshop is lead by recent CAREER awardees, who discuss their experiences and can provide advice and resources on aspects of your CAREER application.

Funding for Education Research Workshop - This is the first year we have held this workshop. By attending this workshop, individuals will learn about different funding mechanisms and agencies and their grant-making cultures. Receive tips and tricks from WPI experts, who have been successful in applying for and receiving funding for education research and scholarship, about grantsmanship for different funding opportunities.
