Drop-ins give you the opportunity to ask quick questions, get your resume or cover letter critiqued, learn about Handshake, and more.

Drop-ins don’t require an appointment; instead, you’ll be able to see a CDC staff member on a first-come, first-served basis. Attend our virtual drop ins through Zoom Monday-Friday 12-3pm, to meet with a member of the Career Development Center (CDC) staff. (Note: Academic year drop-ins end after May 13th.)

Request an Event

Workshops or Events with CDC Participation

Registered student organizations can request that the CDC conduct a workshop for them on a variety of career related topics.  Examples include resume writing, job search skills, and interview skills.  In addition, they can request the CDC’s participation in a program such as table-sitting to discuss our services and resources.  Please provide at least 10 business days’ notice and check the CDC’s list of upcoming programs on Handshake to make sure the date/time you plan to request doesn’t conflict with an existing workshop or event.  To make a request, please fill out this form. A member of the CDC will contact you within 2 business days with more information and provide a status update on your request.

Panel, Networking Event or Program with Employer Collaboration

Registered student organizations can request to co-sponsor an event with the Career Development Center that involves participation from employers and outside organizations.  Examples of these include networking events, networking dinners, and panels.  If approved, a CDC staff member will be assigned to work with your organization to provide guidance on event management and assist with execution, however, the student organization is the primary party responsible for the event.   Due to the complexity of these events and the external involvement, a request form needs to be completed at least 10 weeks in advance of the program date.  To make a request, please fill out this form. A member of the CDC will contact you within 2 business days with more information and provide a status update on your request.

Career Expos (Academic Departments/Faculty Only)

Academic Departments and Faculty members can request to co-sponsor a Career Expo with the Career Development Center.  These networking and recruitment focused events assist students in your department with obtaining jobs, internships and co-ops while also meeting employer representatives for professional development purposes.  To make a request, please fill out this form.  A member of the CDC will contact you within 2 business days with more information.

Request CDC Grants to Fund a Career-Related Event for your Student Organization

The CDC offers grants to help student organizations fund programs and events that involve educational and networking opportunities and career and professional development. Eligibility for the grant requires that any and all students will be welcome to attend the workshop, and that the CDC must be listed as a sponsor in all marketing materials. Access the CDC Grant form and apply today.
