You’ll have many opportunities to meet and talk face-to- face with potential employers through CDC events. Learn firsthand about various potential career paths and network with professionals in your industry.
Each year, WPI holds two career fairs—one in the fall and one in the spring. Attend one or both fairs to meet and network with some of the hundreds of employers attending every year. For tips on how to successfully navigate the career fair, including what to wear and which of your strengths and accomplishments you should highlight for an employer, download the Career Fair tipsheet (PDF).
WPI Spring 2021 Virtual Career Fair Series
The Career Development Center (CDC) will be hosting a Spring Virtual Career Fair Series across three dates in February utilizing the Brazen platform. All dates are for students and alumni from all degrees and disciplines seeking a full-time job, internship, co-op or part-time experience. Companies will be signing up for the date that works best for their schedule, while other companies may attend multiple days. Therefore, each fair will consist of a mix of different companies and we recommend checking out each date in advance to see who is attending.
The career fair is an opportunity to present yourself virtually through chat and video dialogue with potential employers, as well as take part in viewing their live and/or pre-recorded presentations. If you need help preparing for the career fair, please make an appointment with one of the CDC staff members through your Handshake account.
Join the event in Handshake to get an email notification and receive updates regarding the event. While you can RSVP in Handshake, you will need to register in the Brazen platform to be able to participate.
The WPI Spring 2021 Virtual Career Fair Series will take place February 16th-18th from 12-3pm EST in our Brazen platform.
Virtual Career Fairs through Brazen
Brazen is an internet based chat software that seeks to humanize engagement by making personal interaction efficient and scalable. Through virtual career fairs held in Brazen, you will have the opportunity to chat one-on-one with employers in “booths.” Chats will typically last for 7-10 minutes per employer, depending on the fair’s settings and the length of the lines.
Recruiters interviewing on campus offer information sessions that allow you to network, ask questions, evaluate your options, and learn more about their company.
Networking Nights and Career Expos
An opportunity for you to interact with alumni, fellow students, and other professionals, Networking Nights and Career Expos are held on campus and target a specific industry or population.
Over 200 companies and organizations participate in on-campus interviews for summer, co-op, and full-time employment opportunities. Interviews take place from September to April each year.
Companies and organizations often alert the CDC to off-campus recruiting events that WPI students are eligible to attend. These range from career fairs and company recruiting events to professional development programs. Check out the Calendar for more details.
