June Y.

MS, Operations Analytics and Management

June’s work as a grad student translates directly into her full-time role as an intern at the pharmaceutical company Tesaro. With a special focus on strengthening her teamwork and leadership skills, her Foisie Business School (FBS) mentors gave her practical guidance and presented her with opportunities aligned with her goals. She worked closely with FBS associate teaching professor Walter Towner and former assistant FBS dean Amy Zeng who introduced her to conferences, workshops, and projects that provided her with industry insight and helped her directly apply her coursework knowledge to real-world problems.

Gaining a broader view of supply chain management played a big role in one of June’s biggest accomplishments yet—saving a company over $1 million through her innovative quality improvement project.

Close collaboration with FBS faculty members served June so well that she refers to faculty as “the best resource you can utilize to achieve your academic and professional success.”
