Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Scholarship Program

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation sponsors Graduate Scholarships in a national competition for graduating seniors and recent graduates who have been nominated by their undergraduate institutions. Selection criteria for the Graduate Scholarship are academic achievement, financial need, a will to succeed, leadership and public service, critical-thinking ability, and an appreciation and participation in the humanities and arts. A minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher is required. Applicants must have UNMET financial need for graduate study. A will to succeed may be demonstrated by overcoming difficulties obstacles or by showing a real drive to excel. US citizenship is NOT required. Nomination is required; each college or university may nominate up to two individuals. A separate competition is devoted to undergraduates transferring to four-year institutions.
