Data Science is thrilled to announce an exciting, week-long workshop for undergraduate students to be held at WPI this Summer 2016 supported by the University of Massachusetts Medical School via a research grant from the NSF Smart and Connected Health program (SCH). Data Science Program Director Elke Rundensteiner in coordination with WPI Arts and Sciences is collaborating with Dr. Premananda Indic from University of Massachusetts Medical School to bring this opportunity to WPI.

This program will expose undergraduate students to the latest in medical research, health-related devices and big data analytics techniques to introduce them to medical research careers.

The workshop  includes lectures and demonstrations of next-generation health care technology: medical sensors, big data and predictive analytics, biologically inspired engineering, and medical robotics.

Applications by interested students are currently accepted.
