American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Undergraduate Scholarships and Graduate Awards

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation provides undergraduate scholarships and graduate awards annually to undergraduate and graduate students in science or engineering programs to help support future aerospace professionals. Applicants must be AIAA Student Members. 

Application Materials

  • Transcript
  • 500-1,000 word essay, explaining career objectives and an outline
  • Two professional letters of recommendation, one academic and one career
  • Resume and cover letter highlighting professional experience

What they’re looking for

  • Current AIAA student member
    • $30 yearly membership
  • Must have completed at least 1 academic semester of full-time college work
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.3 (minimum) on a 4.0 scale
  • Enrolled in an accredited institution
  • Must provide entry into some field of science or engineering
