Recognizing the vital role of the mathematical sciences in today's society, the Mathematical Sciences Department provides leading-edge graduate programs. The graduate degree programs offer flexibility in design and choice of concentration. The programs are enhanced and distinguished by collaborative involvement with the international academic community, national research centers and industry.
Degree Offerings
The department offers two traditional M.S. degree programs in Applied Mathematics and Applied Statistics, two Professional M.S. degree programs in Financial Mathematics and Industrial Mathematics, a M.S. in Mathematics for Educators program and a Ph.D. program in Mathematical Sciences.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process the admission decision. To apply online, visit the Graduate Admissions and Enrollment office.
There are a number of fellowships, teaching assistantships and research assistantships available on a competitive basis every year. Further information about financial aid can be obtained from the Mathematical Sciences Department office or the Graduate Admissions and Enrollment office. February 1 is the deadline to apply for September admission for students seeking financial support, and October 15 is the deadline to apply for January admission for students seeking financial support.
