LOCATION

Students at the London Project Center live in the heart of one of the world’s finest capital cities.  Some of the best theater, music, and museums are found here, as well as neighborhood pubs where relaxation and conversation are age-old traditions.  An historic but thoroughly modern city, London is known for its diverse cultures and interests – truly a city for everyone.  London’s juxtaposition of past and present, tradition and modernity offers a rich experience to both visitors and residents.

PROJECTS

At the London Project Centre, many projects deal directly with climate change and sustainable development in the urban environment.  Student teams provide practical recommendations to local governments on improving recycling, reducing electricity use, installing combined-cycle heat and power plants and other strategies for fulfilling ambitious commitments to reduced carbon footprints.  Another large share of project activity supports education and outreach activities at such famous museums as the Tower of London and the Museum of Science. Most London Centre projects challenge students with important problems that make a real difference to the project sponsors and the citizens with whom they work.
