Tortilla Sam's garners 4 stars

To those who are Seniors, Tortilla Sam's was once the famous Acupuko's (spelled wrong purposely), to me, the reputation is totally opposite.

Tortilla Sam's has anything and everything you would want for Mexican food; tacos, burritos, fajitas, nachos, quesadillas etc. and it is all fairly inexpensive and very good. One Tuesday night, my roommates and I went to Sam's with a twelve pack and empty stomachs. Which was unusual because most other times that I have been there it is at 2am and I already have the twelve pack in my stomach.

We began with boneless buffalo wings as an appetizer, and of course the chips and salsa are a given. Both were tasty, and our (cute) waiter even gave us a bucket of ice for our beers. The atmosphere is very chill, particularly that night with Bob Marley in the background (a favorite of mine).

For meals, Tara ordered chicken burritos, which as a meal is a lot of food for $7.95. It came with two over stuffed burritos and rice. Becky, who is not the biggest Mexican food fan, ordered potato skins for a meal. I ordered off of the specials menu, chicken pesto quesadillas, which were awesome. They had cheese chicken and pesto inside the flat tortillas. Honestly they were the best, I wish they had them all the time.

Everyone enjoyed their meals and the restaurant. If you are looking for a cheap meal their tacos range from $1.25-2.95 depending on what type, and you can get nachos for one for only $2.95.

I highly recommend Tortilla Sam's to all. It has good food, good atmosphere, casual dress and great service. Their hours are the best too!! Information about Tortilla Sam's is available online at http://www.tortillasams.com.
