Collegiate Entrepreneurs organization planning entrepreneurship fair

by Gina Betti
Operations Manager
Management Department

Oliver Lennertz has come a long way to make waves here at WPI, and if he has his way, they will be a lasting legacy to the Department of Management's entrepreneurship programs. Oliver is a graduate exchange student in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany who brings with him experience and interest in planning and executing career and entrepreneur fairs for his university. He is very interested in replicating his talents here on the WPI campus for a first ever Entrepreneurship Fair. Teaming with Oliver, the WPI Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO!), the Collaborative for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Department of Management is framing a program for an Entrepreneurship Fair this spring. The fair will be an opportunity to question entrepreneurs about their experiences in conceiving a business idea through launching the business. The fair will also let venture capital firms, banks, investors, and service providers inform entrepreneurs and attendees about their products and services. A series of lectures, workshops, a catalog, and café will round out the event. The CEO! planning group is seeking dedicated students to put a number of hours per week into the planning and executing of the Entrepreneurship Fair. Students from all majors are welcome to participate. We need students with publishing and marketing experience, but will work with anyone. Please email gbetti@wpi.edu or call the office of the Collaborative at 831-5761.
