PAC turns 25

The President's Advisory Council is celebrating a quarter-century of service to WPI with several special events that honor the ongoing commitment of this outstanding group.

In February, the annual Presidential Forum focused on the Global Perspective Program. This year, participants were treated to a presentation by WPI seniors Robert Eckman, Shannon Hogan, Yueh-Hui Lin and Sean Veale, who won the 1996 President's IQP Awards Competition for their project "Evaluating Chemical Safety at Chulalongkorn University," which they completed at the Bangkok Project Center.

Presidential Forums were also held in February in Newport Beach and Santa Clara, Calif., where the highlight of each event was a live videoconferencing link to Thailand (see page 9). In the fall the PAC will sponsor Renaissance Weekend, an educational, social and cultural event designed to celebrate the uniqueness of WPI.
