The Sloan Industry Center at MPI is dedicated to research that addresses some of the most critical issues facing industry today. It is part of a large and growing professional organization, whose goal is to promote research cooperation between academics and industry in order to better understand the complex influences that shape industrial enterprises.
The Center encourages research that is based on a deep understanding of the institutions and markets that shape our modern competitive environment-research that is informed by primary data and observation based on direct interaction with people in their workplaces.
The Sloan Industry Centers comprise a unique national network. Housed in many of the nation's most prestigious universities, they listen to the current concerns of industry - attentive to the needs of business, and relying on the accumulated experience of business leaders - as they address solutions. Together with their partners in industry, Sloan Industry Center researchers work to increase knowledge of the complex influences that shape business enterprises, from new technologies to workforce issues, to the impact of globalization.
