Degree: BS, Robotics Engineering

Reasons for choosing AFROTC:
My biggest inspiration for choosing to join the military was one of my best friends, who enlisted in the Marines after graduation. He has since deployed to Afghanistan and continues to inspire me with his commitment. For me, I specifically chose the Air Force, however, due to the wide range of opportunities available to you. Even though I am not interested in becoming a pilot, there are so many other fields to work in! I am excited to be able to have the chance to serve my country while doing work that I love that has real-world impact.

Describe how your experience with AFROTC has been beneficial to you during your time at WPI.
Through AFROTC, my experience at WPI has truly been one-of-a-kind. ROTC is a very distinctive path to choose that really helps set you apart from your peers. I stand out among others as a leader and decision-maker in extracurricular activities; I spearhead group projects in classes; I volunteer to give a tour alone or be the one talking to prospective students. ROTC teaches you professionalism and how to take the initiative, both of which have contributed to my successes in pursuing what I want.

What you hope to do when you graduate?
While I am still figuring out exactly what I am looking to do upon graduation, I have a number of career fields that I am looking into. They are all so interesting I am having a hard time deciding! A couple that I am looking into, however, include becoming an Intelligence Officer, where I would be able to analyze intelligence collected from the Air Force as well as other branches in order to evaluate the capabilities of an adversary, or an Air Battle Manager, who run the show when it comes to a flying mission from the aircraft to the weaponry.
