The Chemistry and Biochemistry department is located in the modern Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center, designed to promote high-level interdisciplinary research. Small- and medium-scale research instrumentation can be found in the research labs of individual faculty and used in collaborative research.

Microscopy/Imaging Core

The Microscopy/Imaging Core lets users image live, fixed, unlabeled, or fluorescently labeled samples using one of several available microscopes, including the following:

This 3,500-square-foot facility within the Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center houses small rodents and aquatics in eight rooms. These include a quarantine room and barrier facility, two procedure rooms, laboratory, cage washroom, and a shower.

Teaching Facilities

Our instructional facilities, located in the recently renovated Goddard Hall, are designed to provide students with an exceptional learning experience. Modern classrooms are equipped with the latest multimedia technology, and teaching laboratories are well equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation.
