Four-Year Program

Flexibility and Opportunity

The four years of on-campus Army ROTC instruction are designated Military Science (MS) I, II, III, and IV and correspond to freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. Basic Course comprises the MS I and II years and carries no future military obligation. Advanced Course covers the MS III and IV years. Contracting to pursue a commission in the U.S. Army is done at the beginning of the Advanced Course or upon receiving an Army ROTC scholarship.

Upon contracting in their junior year, all cadets (scholarship and non-scholarship) receive a monthly stipend of $450 for up to ten months in the MS III year, and $500 in the MS IV year. Scholarship Cadets also receive an annual $1200 book allotment and attend the paid five-week Leadership Development Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Knox, KY.
