WPI's newest dining spot, The Goat's Head, will open Sunday, August 19, in Founders Hall on Boynton Street in Worcester, Mass. The restaurant is adjacent to Outtakes, a new convenience store, which also opens that day. The Goat's Head features a pub-style menu as well as beer and wine. There is space for live entertainment, plasma-screen TVs, and a pool table. Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is set to open the campus's newest dining location, The Goat's Head restaurant. Open to the public, The Goat's Head features a pub-style menu (with beer and wine) that is sure to tempt foodies across the university and city communities. The Goat's Head has 175 seats and space for live entertainment, and also features plasma-screen TVs and a pool table. The restaurant, which presents a stylish décor of yellow-painted walls and rich wood tables, chairs, and bar, also includes an ice cream section that will allow customers to "personalize" their orders by combining high-quality ice cream with a variety of delicious mix-in options. Hours of operation are: Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Outtakes, a new convenience store, will open the same day adjacent to The Goat's Head. Customers will be able to buy items such as coffee, milk, candy, groceries, and quick food items like sandwiches, salad, soups, and even sushi. Outtakes' hours of operation are: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Non-campus community members are welcome to dine and shop.
