A. Tracy Hassett
- Vice President for Human Resources
Tracy Hassett is the Vice President for Human Resources. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Roger Williams University and certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, Tracy is responsible for providing strategic vision for the work of the Office of Human Resources. Tracy joined the WPI community over 10 years ago and has 17 years of experience in the HR field.
Cynthia J. Pellegrino
- Director of Human Resources
Cindy Pellegrino joined the Office of Human Resources at WPI in August of 2001. She graduated from Worcester State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources Management. After joining WPI she returned to school and graduated from Nichols College with her MBA in 2005. In her role as Director, Cindy primarily oversees staff employment, payroll, benefits, and employee relations. Cindy is a Notary Public for the State of Massachusetts.
- Benefits Administrator
Eric Chojnowski joined WPI in February 2008 as Benefits Administrator. He graduated from Westfield State College in 1992 with a BS in Mass Communication, and obtained his SPHR certification in 2004. Eric has worked in the Human Resource field for the past 16 years, specializing in benefits for the past seven years. As Benefits Administrator, Eric oversees all processes related to employee benefits, including but not limited to: enrollment in health insurance and retirement plans, employee leaves, short- and long- term disability, tuition remission, and life insurance.
- Information Analyst - Human Resources and Finance
Dave Croke is the Human Resources Information Analyst who serves as a liaison between the Human Resources Division, IT resources, and the WPI Unified Digital Campus (UDC) project teams. In this role, Dave provides input to work groups engaged in promoting data stewardship, data access, and administrative systems best practices to the university. Dave works as part of a campus-wide team of Information Analysts who provide process and technology support to their assigned business units. Each Information Analyst brings practical business experience and technical knowledge into the business units and collaborates with other staff to support the initiatives of the UDC.
Gina F. Ferraro
- Executive Assistant
Gina Ferraro joined WPI in 2005 and has over 20 years of experience in the HR field. She is certified in Human Resources Management and Leadership and Management Development. As the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Human Resources, Gina’s work focuses primarily on the recruiting and employment processes for WPI. She also assists the Vice President with special projects throughout the year, including union negotiations, drafting retirement agreements, and confidential employee relations issues.
- Human Resources Generalist/HRIS Analyst
Beth Mulvey joined the HR team in the fall of 2007. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from St. Bonaventure University and has over 15 years of experience in recruiting, benefits, workers compensation, and training. As an HR Generalist Beth serves in the areas of maintenance and support of the Human Resources Information System, training, employee relations, staffing, affirmative action, compensation administration and benefits.
- HR Data Entry/Benefits Assistant
Jessica Szymczak joined the Office of Human Resources at WPI in January of 2010. She graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. With multiple years of Human Resources experience, Jessica will be primarily responsible for assisting the Benefits Administrator, and will also be the primary contact for the department.
- Payroll Manager
Lori Costello has been part of the WPI community for over 25 years, having joined WPI in 1987. As Payroll Manager, Lori is responsible for the processing and accuracy of all faculty, staff and student paychecks at WPI. Lori maintains controls and complies with federal and state requirements for these payrolls. Lori graduated from Quinsigamond Community College and attended Worcester State University.
- Lead Payroll Specialist
Jane Lapierre joined WPI in 1999. In her role as Lead Payroll Specialist, she oversees the preparation and processing of the biweekly and monthly payrolls. Jane also manages vacation accruals & leave balances for WPI employees. She acts as lead in office in absence of the Payroll Manager. Jane received her Associates Degree from Quinsigamond Community College and completed the Interior Design Program at Becker College.
- Payroll/Accounting Clerk
Melissa Kozerski joined the Office of Human Resources and Payroll at WPI in July of 2007. She attended Salem State University. With multiple years of accounting experience primarily in banking, Melissa is responsible for overseeing the preparation and document processing of student payrolls and assisting the Lead Payroll Specialist.
